OUR MICROFLUIDIC CHIP IS USED FOR CANCER-NERVE CELL INTERACTION.

Our microfluidic chip, which we produced to examine the interaction between cancer and nerve cells, is used with real cells. The channel on the right is about 50 microns in height. So almost half the length of the hair. Green colored large circles are cells planted into the microfluidic chip. There are channels on the left that are too narrow for cells to pass through. The width of these channels is ~ 7 microns and their height is ~ 5 microns (about 20 times smaller than the hair fiber). They are fabricated by using our lithography system UV-EX Pioneer. On the far left we have another high channel that is not seen in the photo. After a certain period of time, the cells there and the cells on the right extend arms through narrow channels in order to reach each other. The rest is scientific secret ☺
